Founded in 1985 by Toshikiyo Hirata in Okayama — Japan's denim capital, hence the name. Under his son Kazuhiro, Americana, Japanese mending craft and hippie spirit stew together: sashiko, boro, smiling bones. Clothes that look like they've travelled.
